Hiking in Southern Black Forest

The town of Schluchsee was voted favourite place for hiking in 2005. Glorious forest pathways start straight from the Vier Jahreszeiten am Schluchsee hotel. For those who prefer longer routes, approximately 160 km of sign-posted paths lead around the lake, through romantically rugged gorges, over delightful forested hillsides offering spell-binding views, or take you to some impressive local places of interest.

Our hiking guide invites guests to join him on a range of walks (normally with a pit stop) throughout the week, including the great Wutach Gorge hike (approx. 7 hours).
